June 15, 2011
Meeting called to order by Swan at 7:24 p.m.
Opened with Pledge of Allegiance.

Public Comment: None
Communication: Note from Supervisor Wagner requesting zoning ordinance changes be ready for August public hearing.
Discussion of email correspondence from residents concerned with traffic and other problems encountered as a result of short term rental of neighboring property. Further discussion during work on new ordinance language.
Old Business: Work on zoning ordinance language. Discussion of material outlined in memorandum dated June 13, 2011 from legal counsel.
Medical Marihuana Collectives: No decision on language. Discussion on permitting in current commercial zoned districts with distance stipulations. Will be reviewed further at July 6 meeting.
Section 1.02 Purposed language is consistent with revised master plan.
Section 2.03.01 Strike last sentence of C. Strike all bullets.
Ag/RR Districts Tabled for discussion at July 6 meeting.
Short Term Rental Discussion of traffic concerns on narrow lakeside roads. Township not in control of road right of way. Excessive noise, blocking traffic, littering are concerns for the sheriff department and township should not be involved in conflicts between neighbors. Recommend accepting proposed language.

Section 5.01.01 Structures in Setback Change C pg 47 to allow temporary accessory structures in rear and side yard setback only. Add D to read temporary accessory structures in front yard setback require approval of a special use permit.
Section 5.01.08 66′ easement too wide. Request council suggest a minimum width.
Section 5.11 Read and reviewed at July meeting.
Section 9.07 Accept this language.
Section 5.10 Signs Discussion that new language seems excessive. Leave permitted language page 78 and 83 (5.10.05 & 5.10.09)
