Meeting called to order by Swan (7:05pm)

Opened with Pledge of Allegiance.

Approval of Agenda:  As submitted.  Motion: Gurr, 2^nd Dewald.  Carried

Approval of Minutes:  As submitted.  Motion: Gurr, 2^nd Dewald.  Carried

 

Public Comment:         (0 in attendance) None

 

Communications:  NMCOG letter concerning Michigan’s “Regional Prosperity Initiative (RPI).  More info at                                                           www.michigan.gov/regionalprosperity.

 

Robbins reminded commissioners it is time to review the Master Plan.   It will be placed on the July                                 agenda.

 

New Business:

ZA report

April 2014:  Land Use  3 , Field Checks 8 , Attorney Contacts 0 , Public Contacts 10 ,  Zoning Violations 0

Elections: Motion by Johnson, supported by Robbins to elect Jim Gurr Chair, Jim Swan Vice chair.  Carried

Motion by Gurr, supported by Johnson to re-elect Robbins as Secretary.  Carried

Old Business:  No update on Walker Shores Development, site plan review rescheduled.

 

Public Comment:

                        Dewald questioned why docks were not in for Memorial weekend.  Appears there is no support for downtown businesses with walks not being cleared in the winter and docks not provided for holiday weekend.
