Meeting called to order by Swan at 7:00 p.m.

Opened with Pledge of Allegiance.

Township officials present:                    Guy Molby

 

Approval of Agenda: As submitted. Motion: Johnson, 2^nd Dewald. Carried

Statement of Conflict of Interest:          None

Approval of Minutes: As submitted. Motion: Gurr, 2^nd Dewald. Carried

Public Comment:         Molby discussed short term rentals. Owner advertising less than 7 days. He will discuss it with the owner.

Communications:        None

New Business:             Regular Meeting closed. Public Hearing opened 7:14 pm.

                                    Bed & Breakfast Special Use, McPhearson Road.

Molby mailed 6 notices to surrounding property owners. 3 returned stating they were in favor of the request.

Review of Section 3.04 B. Request meets all applicable standards.

Motion by Dewald to recommend approval contingent to meeting any required permits. Supported by Gurr. Carried with one vote (Robbins) being withheld.

Public Hearing closed 7:22 pm

Regular meeting re-opened.

ZA report (April) 1 land use, 6 field checks, 0 attorney contact, 11 other public contacts,

0 violations

Elections: Motion by Robinson, supported by Dewald to elect the following officers: Chair—Jim Swan; Vice Chair—Jim Gurr; Secretary—Bonnie Robbins. Motion carried.

RV Complaint: Molby reported RV is not used as a full-time residence, owner indicates he intends to build. Johnson verified the RV is not being used full-time. Discussion of 30 day limit and whether it should be removed to avoid misperception of RV not being allowed to be parked for 30 days whether in use or not. Discussion of need to address multiple RVs on a site. Molby will inform the owner of the 30 day occupancy language.

Additional report from Molby. Complaint about builder’s sign has been addressed. Builder removed and sent letter of apology.
